Layton is proud to be the Resident DJ at The Shropshire. No two events are the same, so why should the music be? Whether you're planning your Wedding, Birthday or other special event, we'll work with you to create the perfect atmosphere.

From the songs that have a special meaning to you, to the atmosphere you want to create and the moments you want your guests to remember, our 'Fact Find Planning Document' gives you a simple, personal way to tell us exactly what matters. Build your music preferences, share your must-plays and do-not-plays, plan those all-important moments and keep everything in one place — with the flexibility to update your choices as your plans evolve.

We simply ask that you submit your planning document to us 2-3 weeks before your event.

You don't need to choose every song we'll play. In fact, we'd rather you didn't! We recommend adding around 30–40 music requests that give your DJ a great understanding of your taste and provide the foundation for your evening. Think of them as the building blocks of your soundtrack, rather than a playlist we'll simply press play on.

From there, we take over. We combine your choices with our experience, reading the dance floor and responding to the atmosphere as the night unfolds. Whether it's a song that gets everyone singing, a change of pace at just the right moment or a track you didn't expect but absolutely love, your DJ will make those decisions in real time — creating a soundtrack that feels completely yours, rather than just another generic party playlist.
